About The Comic

If you’re new or just want to refresh your memory about what’s going on, this is the place to start.

Welcome To Wrenwood Heights Asylum

Founded in 1850, Wrenwood was the crown jewel of the mental health care industry. Years of budget cuts and neglect have left the asylum in a state of disrepair and relaxed security. A situation that the residents take full advantage of on a regular basis.

This is the story of a group patients inside the walls of Wrenwood and their struggle to get through the day. The longer they live at Wrenwood the more they wonder who is crazier - them or the outside world.

Asylumantics FAQ

................................................................................

Q: Why does Vlad always wear a scarf?

A:
It’s a design choice that just stuck. Originally he
was going to be some kind of crazy pilot. When I
decided to make him a vampire, I just left it.
................................................................................

Q: What is the deal with Spooky’s bloating?

A:
She has a terrible allergy to turkey and eating it
     gives her terrible gas.
................................................................................

Q: How did you decide to make Bread.....bread?

A:
I toyed around with several food items before I
decided on bread. To me, it has the best shape for
     a head.
................................................................................

Q: Why is the characters’ skin such a weird color?

A:
I wanted them to stand out from other characters
and not be tied necessarily to any ethnic group so
I just picked a really off color.
................................................................................

Q: What is Blarney’s?

A:
Blarney’s is the official cola of the Asylumantics
universe. It’s a soda that beats the hell out of you
when you try to drink it. Despite numerous lawsuits
     it continues to be popular.
................................................................................

Q: Can Gus leave the asylum?

A:
He can, but usually not for too long since he is
officially assigned to haunt the asylum.
